Adelaide Crows pair Kyle Hartigan and Billy Frampton have explained their training bust-up from Saturday.

Vision emerged showing the pair coming to blows during match simulation at their training base at West Lakes. But as the dust settled, both players played down the incident speaking for the first time on the Adelaide Crows website.

“He was holding me a little bit. I just gave him a little one in the guts and it just picked up from there,” Frampton told afc.com.au.

“It turns into a bit of a blur when that stuff happens, but it was 10-15 seconds maybe and the boys broke it up.

“Nicksy called us up in front of the group after and we had a bit of a laugh about it, explained what happened and shook hands about it.”

Despite the vision, Hartigan said it was just the competitive side coming out and that he and Frampton hold no grudge against each other.

“We came together for a couple of blows but shook hands after the game,” Hartigan said.

“It is what it is when that stuff happens, and it’s been happening for years.”
