Adelaide forwards Josh Jenkins and Tom Lynch will both undergo post-season surgery, the club has confirmed.
However, the Crows are hopeful both players will complete a full pre-season.
“Tom is going in for a little knee clean-up. He’ll be (training) off-legs for a little while, and we imagine that will be a 4-6 week recovery period. He’ll have a relatively normal pre-season,” Adelaide general manager of high performance Brett Burton said.
“Josh’s had a bit of an issue with his ankle. He’ll have a clean-out of that as well and, again, we’re hopeful that he’ll have a normal pre-season program.”
Meanwhile, Jake Lever and Daniel Talia, who were both injured in the Crows' semifinal loss to Sydney, will also face off-season rehabilitation programs.
“‘Tals has got a grade 2-3 adductor strain, so if we were still playing he’d probably miss a couple of weeks,” Burton said.
“Given it’s the offseason, he’ll rest that over the next few weeks and be fine to join in with the normal offseason program.
“Jake’s actually done a pretty good job of that ankle,” Burton said.
“He’ll be in a moon boot for the next four weeks and probably off running for the next six or so weeks. It’s quite a serious injury, but he’ll be able to have a normal pre-season which is the positive.”
