Negotiations for Peatling narrowed to just one rival after Peatling requested a move to theย Adelaide Crows, rejecting a four-year offer to stay with the Giants.
The Crows have already secured free agentย Isaac Cummingย and recruitย Alex Neal-Bullenย via trade, two of the biggest moves so far in the trade period.
Peatling played 19 games for the Giants in 2024 and averaged almost 14 disposals and just over five tackles a game.
Jake Stringer has been rumoured to be heading to the Giants as Essendon look to come to a deal that would put him in orange.
The Bombers could potentially jump on the back of this trade to work it into a three-team deal.
" We continue talks with Jake's (Stringer) management group and with GWS. We will continue having those discussions. Not too much has changed the last few days. We will ramp up those discussions. He is a contracted player." - Matt Rosa
