Adelaide's SANFL side has announced the signing of former North Melbourne player Blake Drury, bolstering their list ahead of the 2025 season.
Drury played 10 games for the Kangaroos after being taken with Pick 1 in the 2022 Rookie Draft but was delisted after the most recent season.
The Caufield Grammar product has signed with the Crows reserves side as part of the SANFL's updated list regulations, allowing AFL-aligned clubs the opportunity to place experienced players in their elite program.
Drury spoke of his excitement to train with Adelaide, reuniting with schoolmate Josh Rachele at West Lakes.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to crack in at the SANFL. Adelaide is a great club with great history and, from what I've heard, a great bunch of guys," Drury said.
"I went to school with Josh (Rachele), and we played some school footy together and got on really well with him, so I'm keen to train alongside him again.
"The opportunity to stay in an AFL environment will be great for my development, being a young player, that's really important to me, and I think this will help me get the best out of my football."
Crows SANFL coach Matthew Wright said Drury will add valuable qualities to the group.
"Blake is a very talented midfielder and forward who will be a great addition to our squad," Wright said.
"He's a hard worker who has great leadership qualities and a high footballing IQ, so we are excited about what he can add to our group.
"He had interest from a number of other AFL and state league clubs around the country, so we're thrilled he has decided to join our program."
