Adelaide skipper Ebony Marinoff has continued to clean up at the AFLW awards, receiving two individual honours at the AFLW Players' MVP Awards on Tuesday.

Marinoff won the Players' MVP, voted by her fellow teammates and competitors as the AFLW's best player in 2024. She edged out 2020 and 2023 winner Jasmine Garner to receive the trophy, adding to her league Best and Fairest award win on Monday.

The 27-year-old joins an exclusive club of Crows to win a Players' Association MVP, now alongside 2017 and 2019 winner Erin Phillips, as well as AFL legend Andrew McLeod who won the men's award in 2001.

Marinoff's leadership on-field was instrumental in the Crows' top-four finish in 2024, averaging 30.5 disposals, 12.4 tackles and 6.5 clearances per game.

Hence, the foundation AFLW superstar also received the Best Captain award on Tuesday.

Once again beating previous MVP winners in Emily Bates and Kate Hore, Marinoff earned her third major award of the season, and her first win as Best Captain in the AFLW.

“It's an honour to be voted as the AFLW Players' Most Valuable Player as well as Best Captain,” Marinoff said.

“I've been fortunate enough to be involved in AFLW for the entirety of its nine seasons and have witnessed first-hand how much the talent and competition has grown.”
“To be recognised by my peers, who put everything into their craft each week, is really special."
Adelaide's sweep at the awards only continued throughout the night, as Crows defender Chelsea Randall claimed the league's Most Courageous award. Randall's win is her sixth nod in just nine seasons, following previous titles in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 (Season 7).

Randall's domination in the Most Courageous award levels men's star Glenn Archer, who now shares the record with Randall for six trophies in the category. Coincidentally, both players have won the award six times in a nine-season span.

Continuing the theme of South Australian victory, Port Adelaide's Shineah Goody claimed the Best First Year Player Award, beating Essendon youngster Amy Gaylor and Magpie Lucille Cronin.

The 19-year-old averaged 13 disposals and 5.3 tackles this season and made instant impact, receiving a Rising Star nomination in Round 1. Fellow teammate Matilda Scholz took out the Rising Star on Monday, and was also the previous Best First Year Player Award winner in 2023.

Additionally, Brisbane's Jade Ellenger was also awarded the Education and Training Excellence Award, for her dedication to her tertiary studies away from football.
