The Adelaide Crows are reportedly poised to announce a contract extension for veteran Taylor Walker, despite speculation he was set to retire at the end of the season.
It has been reported in recent weeks that Walker was considering making 2024 the final year of his career, with his contract in the South Australian capital due to expire at the end of the current campaign.
But 7 News' Josh Money is now reporting that speculation is off the mark, and instead, the club and veteran are locked in conversations over a new deal which will extent his time at West Lakes into the 2025 AFL season.

A former captain of the club between 2015 and 2019, the Broken Hill-born now 34-year-old has been with the Crows for the entirety of his playing career, and there is no suggestion he would seek to change that if he can't land a new deal at the Crows.
Another season in the AFL would likely allow Walker to join the AFL's 300-game club, and give him the chance to go past 650 goals - a mark he still could challenge this year with a big finish to the campaign.
Walker is the Crows' all-time leading goal kicker, and has held the club's highest goal kicker honour for seven individual seasons during his career, the last of those coming just last season.
