Delisted Geelong midfielder Brandan Parfitt has joined WAFL club Perth following his departure from the Cats after eight years at Kardinia Park.
Parfitt has signed a two-year deal with the Demons and will bring 130 games of AFL experience to the club, with the 26-year-old among the best players exiting the top flight this off-season.
The Darwin product was among a large contingent of Cats players not offered new deals for the 2025 season, a group that included fellow premiership player Gary Rohan.
Parfitt's move to Perth sees him link up with former Geelong teammates Charlie Constable, Sam Simpson and Blake Schlensog at Lathlain Park.
"I'm excited to join the Demons and work with Charlie, Sam, and Blake," Parfitt said in a club statement.
"The club has a real sense of determination, and I'm looking forward to being part of something special here.
"I'm also excited for a fresh start and to experience WA's lifestyle. I'm grateful for my time at the Cats and the lessons learned through injuries and challenges.
"Now, I hope to use those experiences to help the younger players at Perth."
Parfitt was drafted to Geelong in 2016 and would make his AFL debut the following year against Fremantle in the Cats' season opener. He tallied 15 senior games in his maiden campaign, including three finals.
The onballer played at least 17 games in each of his next five seasons, including a spot in Geelong's 2022 premiership-winning side. Parfitt played just nine games for the Cats this year before being cut from the list.
He joins former Fremantle forward Conrad Williams in signing with the Demons for the 2025 season.
Perth amassed just four wins in 2024, avoiding the wooden spoon on percentage to finish night on the ladder.
