Delisted Gold Coast defender Sandy Brock is reportedly in line for a training chance with the West Coast Eagles as the Supplemental Selection Period nears.

The SSP will open on Monday, with the window giving clubs the chance to add players to their pre-season programs as train-on prospects.

Clubs with a list spot open can have two players training per vacancy, with West Coast, the Western Bulldogs, Essendon, Fremantle, Carlton, Port Adelaide and Gold Coast all able to look to the open market for potential SSP recruits after passing at Friday's Rookie Draft.

The Dockers are anticipated to sign former Power and Cats forward Quinton Narkle early into the window, while across town West Coast too are expected to be active.

Delisted flanker Coby Burgiel has been tied to a training spot with the Eagles, while Brock is set to earn a training chance at Lathlain Park too, per AFL.com.au.

Brock was one of eight players delisted by the Suns following the 2024 season, with the 198cm defender's time at Carrara ending without an AFL debut.

The Palmerston product was a member of the Suns' VFL premiership side last year and would tally 59 games at the level during his time on the Gold Coast.

A chance in Perth would see Brock return to the WA capital, having been listed with the Peel Thunder prior to landing on the Suns' list at the end of 2021.

Burgiel, a 185cm defender, will have the chance to secure a list spot back at the Eagles after not being offered a contract extension earlier this off-season.

The Gippsland Power product endured a luckless run of injuries across his two seasons with West Coast after joining them in 2022 as the 29th overall pick in the draft.
