The Nick Daicos legend continues to grow at a rapid pace with his signed and worn Grand Final jersey being sold at auction and fetching a staggering price.
Following another stellar display in Collingwood's four-point premiership win over the Brisbane Lions last Saturday, Daicos' jumper eventually sold for over $70,000.
The jersey, worn by Daicos in the first half of the Grand Final, is personally signed by the superstar and went to auction on September 28th, two days before the Grand Final had even been played, garnering an opening bid of just $75.
Following the win, not to mention Daicos' 29 disposals, three inside 50's, two clearances, and a goal, the bids began to escalate. Slowly at first, with the bids not going over $10,000 until Wednesday this week.
However, things exploded Thursday, with multiple bidders all trying to blow each other out of the water until the final winning bid of $70,025.00 saw the auction close.
The story caps off a remarkable second year in the AFL for the rising mega-star, following his third-placed finish in the Brownlow, All-Australian selection, and a premiership medallion.
At just 20 years of age, Daicos has taken the AFL world by storm and appears to be only just scratching the surface.

As Collingwood fans continue to bask in the glory of their 16th Premiership, the attention has naturally quickly turned to merchandise and memorabilia to commemorate season 2023.
Several other signed and worn Collingwood Grand Final jerseys have fetched eye-watering prices. Scott Pendlebury's sold for $29,275.00, with star on-baller Jordan De Goey's selling for $27,025.00, while Captain Darcy Moore's sold for $20,025.00.
Finally, the jersey of Norm Smith medalist Bobby Hill sold for $12,525.00, seemingly a bargain in comparison to the others.
