Dan Hannebery is considering a return to the AFL, just months after his last game for St Kilda, per reports from SEN's Sam Edmund.
Hannebery hung up the boots after 224 games, just 16 of those with the Saints after ten seasons with Sydney.
The 31-year-old's time at St Kilda was riddled with injuries which limited his time on field, with Hannebery heading to Germany mid-year to visit Dr Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt, a well-known soft tissue specialist.
The three-time All Australian ended the year well in red, black and white, calling time on his career after an impressive final three rounds of the year.
The Gold Coast Suns were reportedly initially interested in acquiring Hannebery's services for the 2023 season, and despite turning his back on the move, the premiership Swan is now reportedly considering resurrecting his career in the sunshine state.
While no decision has been made, with Edmund reporting that an agreement between the two remains distant, the AFL's delisted free agency window opens on Thursday, November 3.
