As the 2022 AFL Trade Period approaches its 7:30pm (AEST) end on deadline day, there's still plenty that needs to be done on the trading floor.
Plenty of moves have already been made, including Monday's four-club mega trade, but Wednesday looms as a busy day as clubs rush to get their deals done.
An embargo on trades is in place until 3pm, but here is the state of play for the rumoured deals still yet to be done.
Rory Lobbย to theย Western Bulldogs
Fremantle made their intentions clear in their opposition to trading Lobb early on in the trade period, but the 29-year-old is still hopeful of joining the Western Bulldogs.
The forward remains contracted to the Dockers for 2023, with 7News reporting that the club is seeking a first-round pick to part with Lobb.
Brayden Fioriniย toย Collingwood
The Pies are set for a busy few hours on deadline day, with Fiorini perhaps at the bottom of their list of priorities. The club is reportedly still keen on the contracted Sun, but will be trying to get a deal for Tom Mitchell sorted before time is up.
Speaking to AFL Trade Radio on Tuesday, Pies list boss Graham Wright said it looks like Fiorini may remain on the Gold Coast in 2023.
"That won't be us, I think Brayden will be staying. We did speak to him and his management, but he's got a year to go at Gold Coast," Wright said.
The Brownlow Medallist looks set to head to Collingwood despite having a year to run on his contract with Hawthorn. The Pies received pick 27 from Tuesday's trade of Brodie Grundy, with that pick potentially used to bring Mitchell in.
Young Magpie Henry has reportedly told the club that he doesn't want to play in black and white in 2023, potentially walking to the pre-season draft should a deal between Collingwood and Geelong not eventuate.
The Cats have offered pick 25 for Henry, with the Pies adamant that won't be enough to land the 20-year-old.
Jeremy Sharpย toย Fremantle
Sharp is hoping for a move back to Western Australia after three years with the Suns but may have to wait for the Lobb trade to play out before he can pull on a purple jersey.
Aaron Francisย toย Sydneyย
The Bomber looks set to make the move to the Swans on the final day of the trade period, in exchange for a likely future third-round pick. Francis played 54 games for Essendon and looks like he will be involved in a three-way trade as Demon Sam Weideman makes his way to the Bombers.
Josh Dunkleyย toย Brisbane
One of the biggest deals is still yet to be done as the trade deadline nears. Dunkley is keen to get out of the Bulldogs, having requested a trade north last month, but the two parties are yet to reach a deal for the recent best and fairest winner.
The trade currently on the table reportedly sees the Lions receive Dunkley and pick 39, while the Dogs will nab a future first-round pick and pick 21 in exchange. Reports suggest that the Bulldogs are keen for two first-round picks and are willing to let the 25-year-old walk to the pre-season draft.
Sam Weidemanย toย Essendon
Looks likely to be done as part of the Francis to Sydney trade. The Melbourne forward is keen for a fresh start in new colours and should be in them come 7:30pm in a fairly straightforward trade between Essendon, Melbourne and Sydney.
Jaeger O'Meara to ???
O'Meara looks set to leave Hawthorn, but his landing spot is seemingly still undecided. Both Fremantle and GWS are looming as options for the 28-year-old, with the Giants possessing a host of first-round picks that could get the deal done. A rather late development in the trade conversation, so one to watch as the deadline nears.
