Sydney Swans midfielder Corey Warner has declared there is no panic at Sydney, despite the Swans falling to 0-2 to start the season.

Warner discussed on RSN how the playing group is still in a good position but must fix their inconsistencies if they are to start winning games.

"We're happy with parts of our game, but we've come up against some real quality opposition," said Warner.

"It's easy-fix stuff, we've played some good footy, It's probably just about doing it more consistently and for longer -  if we can really dial in on four-quarter games it will hold us in good stead.โ€

Playing just nine AFL games since being drafted in 2020, Warner had a strong pre-season, where he was one of the club's standout performers in the 2km time trial. He has also started the 2025 season solidly as a replacement for injured Swan, Errol Gulden - recording 15 disposals and 2 goals in a tight loss to Brisbane.

The 21-year-old described in particular the impact Cox has had on his improved performances to start this season.

"He's been really good with me. He's always backed me in and given me plenty of confidence, which I think I've found at the start of this year," said Corey.

"Just always telling me to take on the game and striving for me to do my best each week."

Recently signing a two extension with the Swans, Corey has publicly backed his older brother Chad to also sign a fresh contract to remain at the red and white.

Throughout the off-season, rumours have been swirling surrounding Chad's future with the Swans. The West Coast Eagles have reportedly prepared a contract offer of up to six years, worth more than a reported $1 million per season.

"I think I'm trying to get in his ear as much as I can," said Corey.

"Obviously committing to the club myself, I'll sort of do everything I can to keep him here."
