Fremantle ruckman Luke Jackson has spoken on his future following recent speculation that tried the ex-Demon with a move back to Melbourne.
Jackson is contracted with the Dockers until the end of the 2029 season after seeking a move to Cockburn at the end of 2022 following a premiership-winning 52-game spell with the Demons.
Recent rumours have linked Jackson with a potential Victoria return, with the East Fremantle product said to have the chance of having his head turn if the right move emerged.
Jackson, who will play his 100th career game this Sunday against Sydney, fronted media and addressed his future, categorically stating he will, and wants to, remain a Docker.
The speculation surrounding Jackson came weeks ago when the Dockers and Demons clash in a pre-season game, with the ruckman's talks with ex-teammates adding fuel to the fire at the time.
"I definitely will," Jackson said when asked if he'd stay with the club long-term.
"I love Freo, I love playing at Freo and I've always wanted to play here since I was a little kid. I grew up supporting the club. I'll definitely be here.
"(The Demon rumours) are all rubbish. We played them a few weeks ago in Mandurah - I won a premiership with them, I've got good relationships with them, so I'll obviously give them the time of day.
"Some of my best mates are in that team and it was good to see them."
Instead of considering a switch to Victoria, Jackson could look to extend his long-term deal with the Dockers into the next decade.
The Western Australian club has managed to secure Hayden Young (2033), Brennan Cox (2030), Josh Treacy (2030), Sean Darcy (2030) and Andrew Brayshaw (2031) to deals through to 2030 or beyond.
"I'll leave that stuff for my manager," Jackson said of a potential extension. "That's his role and his job.
"I'm just focused on playing well for Freo, and I absolutely love playing at Freo."
Jackson played in Saturday's loss to Geelong, recording 39 hitouts, four clearances and 16 disposals while sharing the workload with Liam Reidy.
Fremantle have returned to WA ahead of their first home game of the season, which will conclude Round 2's schedule when they host the Swans at Optus Stadium.
