Daniel Menzel is set to meet with Sydney sometime next week in an attempt to get on an AFL list again, according to the Herald Sun.
Currently in Los Angeles, Menzel will fly down and complete a medical with the Swans, who have been interested in the forward for a while.
The 27 year-old has been in the US with other Geelong players and after he undergoes the medical, he will fly straight back to LA.
There are reports that Menzel has no bad blood with the Cats over the whole situation.
Adam Ramanauskas, Menzel's list manager, stated that five clubs were interested about his client.
“I’ve had some good conversations with clubs for the last eight weeks about Dan and how that could potentially look,” Ramanauskas said.
It looks like Sydney is the only club interested as Menzel can be signed during the delisted free agency period.
Sydney list boss, Kinnear Beatson said that there is a "possibility" about Menzel wearing the red and white in 2019.
“Daniel is heading back to Melbourne soon and we’ll have a medical done on him and then once we’ve got all the facts we’ll make a decision on which way we’ll go there.”
