Delisted Adelaide forward Tom Lynch looks set to get a new career path at North Melbourne.
Lynch was delisted by Adelaide as the Crows turn their focus to the future of the club with the 31-year-old being a victim of Matthew Nick's list turnover.
AFL.com.au reporter Mitch Cleary is reporting that North Melbourne is currently exploring ways to get Lynch to the club in a player development role with soft cap reductions limiting the clubs wiggling room.
According to the report, North may bring Lynch in as a rookie and have him play a few VFL games while helping coach younger players on the list.
It's a role very similar to the one occupied by Tyson Goldsack at Port Adelaide this season.
North Melbourne are set to welcome Callum Coleman-Jones to the club to pair alongside Nick Larkey down forward. So Lynch would play a valuable role in the development of a promising forward partnership.
Lynch would be available for AFL selection but it's believed he wouldn't play at senior level unless the Kangaroos have no other option.
There was a potential role with Adelaide's SANFL team for Lynch but he opted to return home to Victoria instead.
