The delisted free agency pool holds another extensive list of AFL players that may have more to offer in 2022.

With clubs containing to finalise their squad for next season with both gains and losses, those that are keen to continue recruiting may look to those that hold experience in the top flight.

With this in mind, we look at 14 players with left plenty to offer that could gain a reprieve ahead of the new year.

5. James Cousins

One of several surprising delistings this off-season, Cousins still had plenty to offer Hawthorn's rebuild under Sam Mitchell at just 23 years of age.

With the Hawks flipping their first-string wing pairing following the departure of Isaac Smith last year, Cousins also found himself out-of-favour at times throughout 2021.

Despite the setbacks, Cousins still managed to average close to 19 disposals, four tackles and four inside 50s per game this year, and would be another bargain buy for clubs hoping to add to their engine room.
