Former GWS Giants midfielder Nicholas Shipley has found a new footballing home, signing for Terang Mortlake ahead of the upcoming 2024 Hampden Football Netball League season.
Delisted at the end of the 2021 AFL season by the Giants, Shipley seemingly disappeared from the football landscape until a couple of days ago.
The 24-year-old midfielder has decided to take his talents to Terang Mortlake. Nicknamed the Bloods, the team competes in the Hampden Football Netball League - a regional competition in South-Western Victoria.
A New South Wales local, Shipley was drafted by the Giants with Pick 64 in the 2017 AFL Draft after being recruited to the club's Academy.
Making his debut against the Brisbane Lions, he would go on to play six games for the team across four seasons before being offloaded at the end of 2021.
Terang Mortlake released a statement via Facebook welcoming Shipley.
"We are thrilled to welcome former GWS player Nick Shipley to the Bloods for the 2024 HFNL season," the statement reads.
"Nick is a highly talented midfielder and will be a huge addition [to] the Bloods in 2024."
