Former Geelong forward Gary Rohan has opted to extend his playing days at Hampden League club Port Fairy in 2025.

Rohan was delisted at the completion of the 2024 AFL season by the Cats, playing 98 games across six seasons, including the 2022 premiership triumph.

The Seagulls battled in their most recent campaign, finishing eighth after securing five wins.

The inclusion of the star forward will be a welcome addition to the side.

"It is with great excitement that the PFFNC announce the signing of Gary Rohan," a club statement read.
"Known for his speed and marking ability, Gary will provide added flexibility to our forward, midfield and defensive groups.
"Gary also brings with him a wealth of footballing experience, including his current role as development coach with Geelong's AFLW team, and will join Dustin McCorkell's senior coaching group as well as supporting the development of our junior seagulls."
Rohan played 204 AFL games having spent lengthy periods at Geelong and Sydney.
The 33-year-old was initially drafted by the Swans with Pick 6 in the 2009 AFL Draft from the Geelong Falcons.
Rohan reunited with his roots as he was traded to the Cats ahead of the 2019 season.
Throughout 2024, the elusive forward was battling injury and form that limited him to 12 outings before the decision to cull him was made.
