Former Geelong ruckman Paul Tsapatolis has joined fellow ex-Cat Luke Dahlhaus in signing with Western Region Football League club Point Cook for 2023.
The Division 1 club announced Dahlhaus' signing last week, with the premiership Bulldog and recently retired Cat linking up with his own former teammate in Clay Smith, who coaches Point Cook.
The Bulldogs have added more departing AFL talent to their list for next year, with Tsapatolis' services thoroughly welcomed by Point Cook.
"The Point Cook Football Club would like to introduce and welcome Paul Tsapatolis for the 2023 Season," a club statement reads.
"Paul, joins Point Cook from the Geelong Football Club. Paul, was drafted as a Category B Rookie in the 2020 Rookie Draft by the Geelong Football Club, following his basketball career. Paul played 12 VFL Games for Geelong's VFL Side throughout the 2022 season.
"Paul, played his junior football at Yarraville Seddon Eagles before making the move to basketball, where he represented Australia at Under 17 Level.
"The club is excited to have Paul on board for 2023 and believe he will be a great asset to our ruck stocks alongside Andrew Robinson."
Tsapatolis joined Geelong in 2020 as a Category B Rookie, having plied most of his career as a basketballer, currently standing at 202cm.
The 20-year-old was one of five players to be delisted by Geelong at the end of last month, joining Quinton Narkle, Francis Evans, Zane Williams and Nick Stevens.
