Recently delisted Brisbane defender Nick Robertson has affirmed his desire to resume his AFL career next season at a new destination, and isn't particularly fussy about where that could take him.
Appearing on SEN's Time On Tuesday afternoon, the 24-year-old West Australian spoke of what he still has to offer in football after being cut by the Lions, alongside Ryan Bastinac, Ben Keays and Josh Walker.
"It's a bit disappointing but that's the nature of the business," Robertson said on his delisting.
"I'm very grateful for the opportunity I got in Brisbane and enjoyed my time here...but looking forward to what's next."
Robertson was taken with the 34th selection in the 2013 draft and went on to feature 73 times across six seasons at the Lions, of which only 13 were victories, most recently featuring in their nail-biting semi-final defeat to eventual runners-up GWS.
Playing all but one game in both 2017 and 2018, Robertson was mostly left behind in the Lions' resurgence this past season as he managed only five senior games, and hadn't played an AFL fixture since Round 12 by the time he was called in for the semi-final.
Now, however, the delisted free agent has new plans and is willing to take matters to any location.
"I'd love to continue on my AFL career and I know I've got a lot more to offer at AFL level. Given an opportunity, I'd be taking it with both hands," Robertson said.
"From what I'm hearing JD (agent Jason Dover) has been talking a lot to some clubs which is really promising and encouraging."
