Former Richmond and West Coast Eagles midfielder Patrick Naish has agreed to play for the Box Hill Hawks in the VFL in 2023, after being delisted at the conclusion of last season.
Naish, the son of Tigers veteran Chris, first entered the AFL system via the 2017 National Draft, where he was chosen by Richmond after the Tigers matched a bid for the father-son prospect by St Kilda at No. 34.
"I'm stoked to sign at Box Hill," Naish said.
"We've got a great list and coaching staff, and I can't wait to get into pre-season in the brown and gold."
The 23-year-old struggled to play regular senior football throughout his time at Punt Road, eventually cut by the yellow-and-black in 2021 after managing just nine games across four seasons.
Naish would then spend one season on West Coast's list this year, playing in 11 games and averaging 16.7 disposals and 3.8 marks, before being met with the same unfortunate fate.
The pacy outside midfielder will aim to resurrect his professional career with a strong showing for Box Hill in 2023.
