Recently departed St Kilda defender Oscar Adams has returned to his former club Glenelg for the 2024 season, landing at the Bay in a bid to help the Tigers' premiership defence.
Adams makes the switch from Moorabbin after two years as a Saint, where he would play 26 VFL games for the club's VFL affiliate Sandringham. Adams would not amass an AFL debut during his time at St Kilda.
At the cessation of Adams' second season he was not offered a renewed contract, with the South Australian one of six Saints delisted following their finals finish.
The 198cm defender has now returned to the SANFL with Glenelg, who he last played for in 2021 at the U18s level while averaging 13.7 disposals and 4.8 marks as a key backman prior to being drafted to the Saints with the 51st selection at the AFL Draft that year.
"I'm stoked to be back at the Bay and hoping I can help contribute to another great season in 2024," Adams said in a short statement provided by the club.
The Tigers claimed their sixth SANFL premiership this year via a win over Sturt in September, with Glenelg now looking to strengthen their flag hopes for next season with the addition of Adams.
Glenelg have also managed to sign former Sydney defender Will Gould and ex-Geelong-listed midfield-defender Nick Stevens this off-season to help bolster their rearguard.
"We are thrilled that Oscar has decided to come back to Glenelg after two seasons at St Kilda," Glenelg coach Darren Reeves said.
"At 198cm and possessing outstanding athleticism and football skill set, we think he is going to add a great deal to our group.
"We look forward to helping him to continue to develop his game."
Details for the start of the 2024 SANFL season are yet to be disclosed.
