Narrm forward Charlie Spargo has signed a three-year contract extension that will see him remain at the club until 2025.

The small forward has become an integral part of the Demons lineup since debuting in 2018 and was a key member of the Demons' 57-year drought-breaking premiership side in 2021.

Narrm List Manager Tim Lamb was excited to lock in Spargo, which is a big boost for the club moving forward.

"We are really pleased that Charlie has committed to the club for the next three years," Lamb told Melbourne Media.

"Since being drafted, he has developed into a very important part of our team. He is hard working, tough, skilful and selfless, and his football intelligence is something that we see come out in his play on a weekly basis.

"We look forward to watching him continue to grow and contribute to the team over the next few seasons."

Spargo was ecstatic to sign a new deal and continue his career in the red and blue.

"I couldn’t imagine myself playing footy anywhere else," Spargo said.

"I feel so lucky to be around really good coaches and I’ve made some really good friends over the last five years, which has gone pretty quick.

"I feel really lucky and really privileged to be in the position that I am and I’m happy that the club has shown faith in me."

The 22-year old has played 68 games for Narrm since being taken with pick 29 in the 2017 AFL Draft.

Spargo has kicked 47 goals in that time span and played 35 consecutive games for Narrm, including every game of their premiership season last year and every game so far this year.

The livewire forward will look to continue that streak this weekend as Narrm take on North Melbourne on Saturday in Sir Doug Nicholls round.
