Delisted Western Bulldogs youngster Charlie Clarke has signed with his old club Port Melbourne in Victoria's Southern Football League.

Clarke was cut by the Dogs after two years at Whitten Oval, with the small forward breaking through for a debut against Hawthorn last year.

That match would be his only appearance at the top level during his time with the Bulldogs, with Clarke featuring for Footscray in the VFL on 37 occasions during the same period.

Clarke was one of three players not offered a new deal by the club at the cessation of the 2024 season, with the 21-year-old now returning to the local level.

His first move post-AFL has seen him link up with the Colts for 2025, with the local club expressing its delight to have the energetic attacker back.

"We are very excited to welcome back a favourite son of the red and blue, Charlie Clarke for season 2025," a club post read.

"After 2 years with the Western Bulldogs, Charlie brings knowledge and experience from the elite level.

"Along with his infectious energy, Charlie's impact will be huge and follows in the footsteps of his dad and club legend Jason Clarke."

Port Melbourne have already signed Clarke's former Western Bulldogs teammate Robbie McComb for their upcoming campaign, while the Colts were home to Richmond premiership player Josh Caddy in 2024.

Caddy was a player-coach for the local club but has since departed for North Central League outfit St Arnaud.

Port Melbourne finished the 2024 SFNL season seventh on the ladder after registering eight wins from their 18 matches.
