Recently delisted St Kilda veteran Seb Ross has landed at the local football level for the 2025 season, joining the Colac Tigers as the club's new co-coach.
Ross departed Moorabbin after 13 seasons and over 200 games in the red, white and black, with the 31-year-old claiming two best and fairests, an All-Australian squad selection and polling 48 Brownlow votes across his career. He played 13 games for St Kilda this year, with most of his last season limited by injury.
The midfielder was not offered a new deal by the Saints at the conclusion of their 2024 campaign, with Ross since heading to regional Victoria to link up with Colac as the club's new co-coach.
"We are very excited to announce that Seb Ross will take on the role as Co-coach for our senior side in 2025," a club announcement read.
"Seb comes to us after an incredible AFL career with St Kilda. Having played 211 games at the highest level as well as a two time best and fairest winner at the Saints.
"On behalf of the club we would like to welcome Seb, his wife Marnie. Daughter Charlotte and twin boys Vinny and Henley to the Tigers."
It is expected Ross will also play for the Tigers while leading the Geelong Football Netball League outfit, while his coaching partner is yet to be confirmed.
Ross joins fellow ex-AFL players Jonathan Simpkin and Darcy Lang at Central Reserve for the 2025 season.
Colac amassed a sixth-placed finish this year in the GFL, recording 11 wins and seven losses to narrowly miss out on a finals placing.
