The VFL have locked in dates, times and venues for the second week of its finals series, with the competition heading north to host the two semi-final fixtures.
Last weekend's results saw Casey and Southport book themselves a home preliminary final spot for week three, while Collingwood and Box Hill bowed out of the race following defeats.
The outcomes have forced Carlton to venture to Queensland to face the Brisbane Lions at Moreton Bay Sports Complex on Saturday at 12:05pm (AEST) in a match that will see 2nd host 7th.
The Lions and Blues last clashed in the opening round of this season, with the Blues winning that match by 42 points at Princes Park.
The winner of that match will head to Victoria to face Casey in the first preliminary final in the weekend of September 10-11.
Sunday's matchup will have Sydney hosting the Gold Coast Suns at Blacktown International Sports Park at 1:05pm (AEST), with the winner to turn their attention toward a trip to Queensland to face Southport next weekend.
The Swans and Suns last met in Round 2, where the Suns won in a two-point thriller.
Both matches for this weekend will be broadcast live and free on Channel 7.
