Following an eventful Wildcard Round, the VFL's week one finals fixtures have been locked in.

After claiming wins over the weekend, Frankston and Williamstown will progress to elimination finals while Gold Coast and Richmond have been eliminated from the running.

The Dolphins will return to Queensland after narrowly knocking off the Suns on Saturday with a come-from-behind win, with a trip to Southport now scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

The Seagulls will remain in Victoria after handling the Tigers with some ease, booking themselves a place against Box Hill in the other elimination final.

Minor premiers Werribee will host Geelong's VFL side to open week one of the finals, with all four matches to be held on Saturday. The 'Bees and Cats will battle at Avalon Airport Oval at midday (all times AEST), with the loser to face the winner of Southport and Frankston.

The other qualifying final will be held between Footscray and Brisbane at Whitten Oval at 1:05pm, with the victor of that game booking a home preliminary final while the loser will face the winner of Box Hill and Williamstown.

Channel Seven will broadcast the qualifying final between Werribee and Geelong as well as the elimination final between the Hawks and Seagulls.
