Gold Coast sensation Mac Andrew has inked a long-term deal that is reportedly worth $12 million and includes a four-year trigger.
The Suns confirmed Andrew's extension through to the end of the 2030 season on a five-year contract, making him the longest-signed Gold Coast player.
The recommitment comes after a breakout year for the Berwick junior, who was selected in this year's 22under22 side and also managed a top six finish in the Suns' best and fairest at the age of 20.
The highly talented key position youngster spoke of his excitement to remain with the Queensland club for the long haul.
“I love everything about this place. I've made a home for myself up here and have a great support base here,” Andrew said.
“I'm really keen to be a part of the first team that wins a Premiership on the Coast. To be the first to do that would be pretty special and something I really want to be a part of.
“It's pretty evident we are heading in the right direction and I just want to play my role in what will be something great.
“I don't want to take my career for granted, I really want to make the most of it and grab every opportunity with both hands.”
Multiple reports have revealed further details of Andrew's deal, which is said to include a games trigger that could spark an additional four years onto his contract that would take him through to the 2034 season.
The overall deal is said to be worth north of $12 million and comes after strong interest from Hawthorn.

Andrew played 20 games in 2024 - his third season with the Suns - to bring his career tally to 41 appearances at AFL level.
The athletic defender quickly emerged as a key piece in Damien Hardwick's system and was even swung forward late in the year, earning a return of eight goals in his last four games of the season.
“Mac has grown into an integral member of our football club. He has worked hard to improve his game and we look forward to continuing to see his development in the red and gold for at least the next six years,” Suns talent manager Craig Cameron said.
“He is the latest in a wave of players to commit to our club and pleasingly we now have a number of our key pillars locked in for the years to come.”
The extension of Andrew follows a successful year of retention for Gold Coast, who have also had Sam Clohesy (2026), Jy Farrar (2025), Will Graham (2027), Lloyd Johnston (2026), Ned Moyle (2028), Wil Powell (2029), Ethan Read (2028), Bodhi Uwland (2026) and Jarrod Witts (2026) re-sign in 2024.
