Who would have thought that midfielder Riley Collier-Dawkins was still available at pick 20 as it left Richmond's National Recruiting Manager Matthew Clarke a little surprised.

Both AFL Draft experts Callum Twomey and Matt Balmer had the Oakleigh Chargers player at 13 in their mock drafts.

โ€œWe were a little surprised that he was still there given the interest from the earlier teams, so weโ€™re really happy to take Riley where we did,โ€ Clarke told SEN on Friday morning.

โ€œOne thing about our coaching staff is we prepare our boys really well and donโ€™t put anyone out there before theyโ€™re ready.

โ€œGiven his size, heโ€™s got a little bit of work to do on his running, but we think that can improve really quickly so we think he can play some decent footy next year.โ€
