Delisted West Coast forward Isiah Winder has joined WAFL club South Fremantle following his departure from the Eagles.
Winder was one of six West Coast players delisted by the club this off-season, with Luke Foley, Greg Clark, Sam Petrevski-Seton, Xavier O'Neill and Connor West also not offered new deals for 2024.
The 21-year-old is now set to step to the WAFL level for next season on a full-time basis with the Bulldogs, having featured in the state league on six occasions this year with West Coast's reserves.
While it was a difficult season for the Eagles' WAFL unit, managing just the one draw and no wins from 18 games, Winder was a standout on his way to averaging 24.3 disposals per game.
The Eaton junior wouldn't feature under Adam Simpson this year despite his WAFL form, with injuries also impacting his final campaign in the royal blue and gold. Winder would play seven AFL games over three years at Lathlain Park, six of which came last year.
Winder will now link up with South Fremantle following his delisting, with the club announcing the addition of their "first star recruit" on Thursday.
"Isiah Winder has officially signed, making him our first STAR recruit for 2024," a clubs statement read.
"Joining South Fremantle from the West Coast Eagles having played 7 AFL games, Winder is a 21-year-old classy midfielder/forward who will make an immediate impact.
"Winder was taken by West Coast at pick #57 in the 2020 NAB AFL Draft. He debuted for the Eagles in Round 4 2021.
"Welcome to the Bulldogs Izi."
The Bulldogs finished eighth in the WAFL this year with a 6-12 record.
Winder becomes the second ex-Eagle to make a move to the WAFL this week, with the aforementioned West signing with West Perth.
