Fremantle defender Michael Johnson has pleaded not guilty to assault in court on Monday morning.

The assault charges stem from an incident in November last year in a kebab shop.

Johnson is alleged to have assaulted a customer in the shop following a verbal altercation with the man.

The alleged victim provided Police with a video of Johnson, who has his pants down in a kebab shop in Leederville, before the man was struck by Johnson in a resulting argument.

A hearing has been set for October 13.

Johnson, whose bail was renewed, declined to comment outside court.
