Fremantle has been afforded extra flexibility ahead of Wednesday evening's Mid-Season Draft after rookie key forward Jye Amiss was moved to the club's inactive list.
The unfortunate move comes after the 18-year-old sustained a kidney injury while playing for Peel Thunder in the WAFL on May 21.
However, in a positive spin for the club, the extra list spot allows the Dockers an extra spot at the draft, with the possibility of drafting two players well and truly alive.
Dockers GM of football Peter Bell explained the club's process.
"We've made the decision on the back of the kidney injury that he sustained to move Jye to the long term inactive list," Bell said.

"That opens up another list spot, should we decide to use it, in the mid-season rookie draft."
Fremantle's first list spot opened up as a result of the earlier retirement of Luke Valente.
