Fremantle forward Ebony Antonio has signed a two-year contract extension to remain in purple for the coming seasons.
The Dockers' 2022 leading goalkicker enjoyed a stellar season earlier this year, earning a second-place finish in the club's best and fairest honours.
The 30-year-old had gained reported interest from the AFLW's expansions sides this off-season, but had instead turned her back on a move elsewhere to sign on for a further two seasons.
“I’m really excited that I’ve got my contract settled. I’m a Freo girl at heart and I look forward to the next couple years and seeing us take the next step,” Antonio told the club's website.
“We’re not that far off when you look at it, we’ve got a really young list in terms of age. I’ll be a little bit older too, but when I look at how young we were as a group last year, it’s really exciting to know that they’ll all be better off for it next season.
“I’m really excited to see what these younger girls can produce with another season under their belts, I can see us going one game further.”
The new deal will see Antonio secured to an eighth campaign with the Dockers, having first debuted with the club in 2017.
The 2018 All-Australian is sure to play a significant role next season as Fremantle eye their maiden premiership after a strong campaign this year.
