Filmmaker Josh Cable was with the Collingwood Magpies throughout the 2018 season, and is in the midst of editing together a documentary of the club's highs and lows, culminating in their five-point grand final loss to West Coast.

After Collingwood released a video of Nathan Buckley's post grand final speech last week, this film is set to not only follow the Pies' successes, but their low moments of the season.

It will touch on Jordan De Goey's pre-season club-imposed suspension, Sam Murray's drug ban, the death of Travis Varcoe's sister Maggie, and the continual injury problems of Jamie Elliott and Daniel Wells.

It was also look at Buckley's year in depth, and how the club climbed the ladder after a tough 2017 that saw the club legend's job firmly on the line.

The documentary is currently being pieced together, but should be released before the beginning of the home-and-away season.
