Sturt will be bolstered by a pair of key inclusions when they face Central District in Sunday's qualifying final at Adelaide Oval, with James Mathews and Connor McFadyen set to return.
Both were rested for last weekend's win over Adelaide but will slot straight back into the Double Blues forward line and add significant firepower.
McFadyen finished equal-fourth in this year's Ken Farmer Medal race, kicking 32 goals from 15 games to sit comfortably as Sturt's leading goalkicker for the season.
Veteran goalsneak Mathews has struggled with injury at times this year but still managed 21 goals from 11 games to loom as a potential match-winner up forward.
The Blues have also brought in defender Charlie Fryer and wingman Nick Sadler on an extended bench, while Henry Carey will miss with a calf injury.
Meanwhile, Central District will enter the clash without reigning Magarey medallist Harry Grant, who suffered a concussion and broken jaw in a heavy collision with Port Adelaide's Hugh Ferrari last weekend.
Grant will likely miss the remainder of the finals series in what will be a huge blow to the Bulldogs as they look to win their first qualifying final since 2009, which was also coincidently against Sturt.
Kade Dittmar has been promoted from the reserves to replace Grant, while fellow midfielders Jai Larkins and Mani Liddy have been placed on an extended bench following solid performances in the reserves last week.
First-year ruckman Harvey Howe has recovered from a concussion suffered against Sturt in Round 17 and has also been named on the extended bench.
Woodville-West Torrens have included retiring forward Troy Menzel on an extended bench for their elimination final clash with Glenelg.
Menzel has spent the last three weeks in the Eagles' reserves but could be a chance to play what might be his last game at league level.
Dane McFarlane, Josh Mawson and Jordan Moore have all been named on the extended bench after impressing in the reserves last week.
Youngster Bailey Hann will miss with a concussion that will rule him out of next week's semi-final should the Eagles qualify as he remains in the SANFL's 21-day protocols.
Their opponents Glenelg have added key reinforcements as they battle several injury concerns, with Liam Wisdom, Will Stockman and Austin Kitschke all named on an extended bench.
Ruckman Cam McGree (ankle) and rebounding half-back Nick Stevens (foot) both picked up injuries in the win over South Adelaide last week and remain in some doubt for the elimination final.
Stockman's return to the league side could also be in doubt with an ankle injury but looms as a potential replacement for McGree if he cannot take his place.
Kitschke has been recalled to an extended bench after spending the last two weeks in the reserves where he has played as a key forward and kicked three goals.
Having played 16 senior games as a key defender this season, Kitschke could be an option to return to defence shouldย Stevens be unavailable.
