Adelaide has secured GWS rebounding defender Isaac Cumming in a bid to increase their offensive threats via free agency on Friday.

Cumming lands at West Lakes already heavily linked to the Crows, citing his relationship with club legend Taylor Walker.

The 26-year-old crosses from the Giants after eight seasons and 81 games, following a tumultuous year filled with persistent injuries that limited him to six outings.

Cumming will likely slot straight into the half-back line, pairing up with Mitch Hinge and Max Michalanney as medium-sized defenders.

The Broken Hill product will also provide neat use coming from the back half whilst adding the attacking flair Matthew Nicks desperately needs.

The AFL is yet to confirm draft compensation for GWS for the loss of Cumming.

His departure comes as the Giants also prepare to part with Harry Perryman (Collingwood) and Nick Haynes (Carlton) to free agency moves.
