It's official - Joe Daniher has signed with the Brisbane Lions.
The Lions lodged their offer for the 26-year old on Friday afternoon, which is reportedly a thee-year deal.
Essendon have opted not to match the offer and will receive a first-round pick as compensation - currently No. 7 overall.
Daniher has played just 15 games over the past three seasons after being hampered by groin injuries, but now gets a fresh start at Brisbane and has been buoyed by the Lions' medical department.
AFL free agency opened on Friday.
The Essendon Football Club have elected not to match the offer and Joe Daniher is now able to join the Brisbane Lions immediately. Essendon to receive a First Round compensation selection, currently selection 7.
