Legendary Hawk Jack Gunston has finalised a move away to Brisbane after 10 years and over 200 games with Hawthorn.
Gunston's exit paves the way for a younger tall forward to come through the ranks for the Hawks as they continue through their rebuild stage.
He joined the Hawks from Adelaide in 2012 in a trade that included a bunch of late-round picks.
The Lions have offloaded Pick 48 and a future fourth-round selection to get Gunston to the club and provide assistance for key forwards Eric Hipwood and Joe Daniher.
Trade paperwork lodged.

Gunston kicked over 400 goals for the club and is a part of their recent 'dynasty' as a three-time premiership player.
The key forward will be looking for his fourth flag as he joins a club that is well into their premiership window.
It's likely the Hawks will take the pick they receive from the Lions into the draft after having a relatively quiet trade period.
