Tom Lynch has officially joined the Tigers on a seven-year deal, after Gold Coast decided not to match the contract offer Richmond put to the star forward last Friday.
It was reported by The Age that Richmond's deal was around $6.3 million over seven years, meaning the 25-year-old would be making an average of $900,000 per season.
The Suns will get a first round compensation pick, which currently stands at pick 3.
“We’re pleased to welcome Tom to our football club,” Richmond's General Manager of Football Neil Balme told richmondfc.com.au.
“Tom is clearly a talented footballer, but he also has great leadership qualities and a strong work ethic.
“At only 25 years of age, he is an exciting prospect and has many years of good football ahead of him.
“I, like many of our fans, look forward to seeing Tom in yellow and black.”
