Port Adelaide's Aaron Young has joined the Gold Coast Suns.

The Suns have traded next year's round four selection, which it received from Adelaide, to the Power in exchange for the 25-year-old.

Young had his best return for the Power 2016, when he played 21 games, however, other than that, he has not played more than 14 games in a season.

He averaged 12 disposals, 3.2 marks, 2.7 tackles and kicked 11 goals in his 13 matches in 2017.

Young has played a total of 76 games since being drafted with pick No.36 in the 2010 National Draft.
