Contracted Fremantle tall Rory Lobb has been traded to the Western Bulldogs in exchange for Pick 30 and a future second-round selection.
The Bulldogs become Lobb's third club after starting his career at GWS, where he played 74 games before requesting a trade in 2018.
The 206-centimetre forward-ruck then spent four seasons at Fremantle, playing 65 games and kicking 78 goals.
Lobb, largely due to his sizeable frame and athleticism, has been crucial to Fremantle's structure, but the Luke Jackson trade has alleviated some concerns and allowed the trade to progress.
Lobb's arrival is a significant coup for the Bulldogs, joining the prolific Aaron Naughton, youngster Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and the forgotten Josh Bruce in a potent Bulldogs forward combination.
The Footscray outfit will no doubt be hopeful that Lobb can also assist developing ruckman Tim English as they look to push for a top-four birth in the 2023 AFL season.
