Collingwood has confirmed top draftee and father-son selection Nick Daicos will make his AFL debut in Round 1.
The talented teenager is set to wear the No.35 jumper made famous by his father and club great, Peter, when he runs out onto Marvel Stadium for Friday night's clash with St Kilda.
Daicos was taken with the fourth pick in the 2021 NAB AFL draft. His impressive 31-disposal performance in the AAMI Community Series against GWS earned him a starting spot in Round 1.
The 18-year-old will join his brother Josh to form the 47th sibling duo to pull on a Collingwood jumper together.
The club has also confirmed that former Bulldog Patrick Lipinski will make his debut for the Pies on Friday night.
After rolling over his ankle in the practice match, Lipinski was able to put in a full week of training.
Collingwood coach Craig McCrae announced the news to the playing group at their Wednesday training session.

"It gives me great pleasure to announce that these two guys are going to represent the footy club for the first time," McCrae said.
"I think what we've got here is two great assets for us this year but not only football-wise I just love the character they bring."
The Pies will take on the Saints at Marvel Stadium on Friday night.
