For the second successive year 'Dreamtime at the G' will not be played at the MCG.

The destination for the annual clash was in limbo following Victoria's latest lockdown and will now be played at Optus Stadium in Perth.

Essendon flew into Perth earlier in the week to prepare for their clash against West Coast tonight, while Richmond will fly into the state after their game against Adelaide at GWS Stadium on Sunday.

According to Seven News reporter Ryan Daniels, the Tigers could spend up to three weeks in Western Australia as they are scheduled to face West Coast at Optus Stadium in Round 13.

The Herald Sun's Jon Ralph reports Carlton has been told to stay in Sydney for the next week and take on West Coast at the SCG on Saturday night.

The Blues were to take on the Eagles at the MCG in Round 12 but their clash has been shifted to the SCG amid the latest COVID-19 outbreak in Victoria.

It is unclear when Victorian teams will be allowed back into Victoria but the latest reports suggest all Victorian teams will be relocated interstate until lockdown comes to an end.
