Deslited Kangaroo Josh Walker has publicly claimed his desire to extend his AFL career, calling on a fourth club to grant him a list spot.

Having initially joined Geelong with the 23rd pick of the 2011 Rookie Draft, Walker's career ended at the Cattery after 33 games.

The 29-year-old added a further 106 appearances to his career tally across posts with the Lions and Roos, however, is now on the hunt for a league lifeline after being dumped by the Shinboners on Monday.

Despite expressing disappointment at the decision, Walker pitched his case via SEN radio waves, touting there is life left in his legs yet.

“There's no secret, North aren't looking necessarily at just next year but beyond,” Walker stated.

“I think they are in a rebuilding phase, they're looking to get younger, I'd argue that I still haven't turned 30 yet so I still have some good footy in me.”

While the likelihood of a return to Arden Street remains slim, the forward-cum-defender professed that a spot on Alastair Clarkson's rookie list could still come to fruition.

“First of all, North have picked up a couple of extra rookie spots as part of that (assistance) package from the AFL,” Walker said.

“So, there's a chance to go down that avenue and stay at North, but we won't know how that pans out for another month or so until after the draft, but that's a possibility

“But the manager has put the feelers out to see if there's any interest out there."

As for where his preference lay, the Geelong Falcons product believed he could make a difference for a club that believed they were in the premiership race.

“I still think I can help a team that's either in the finals window and looking to add an experienced player or even a younger side that's looking for some experience," Walker added in finality.

“I haven't turned 30 yet and I don't feel any different than I did when I was 23.

“I've just had three seasons of a fair bit of AFL footy … so yeah I think I've got plenty to offer.”

Should Walker's pursuit to find a fourth home prove successful, he will join a club that already includes the ilk of Martin Pike, Geoff Raines, Phil Carman, Brownlow medallist Brian Wilson and current Crows AFLW coach Matthew Clarke.
