St Kilda are set to regain star forward Max King for Saturday's clash with North Melbourne while wingman Mason Wood could also be brought in to face his former club.
King has been battling a minor knee injury that has kept him out of the senior side for the past fortnight and will need to get through Thursday's training to be available for selection.
Saints coach Ross Lyon is confident that the 23-year-old will face the Kangaroos this weekend, while also providing hints on who else may be selected.
"We're working through it," Lyon said to reporters.
"King, training well today, should play.
"Potentially Wood will play for us, Webster's available. It's ironic against North.
"But because they've had big running blocks and haven't been injured, so there'll a real chance."
Jimmy Webster will finally be available for selection following his seven-game ban for his crude bump on North Melbourne skipper Jy Simpkin in the pre-season.
Recruit and former Blues midfielder Paddy Dow has returned strongly from injury in the VFL since overcoming severe bone bruising that initially took longer than expected to heal.
Dow gathered 22 possessions, six clearances and three tackles in the reserves grade last week but has been confirmed to remain with Sandringham this week, while Hunter Clark will join him.
"Dow, at this stage, will definitely give another wrung at Sandringham," Lyon said.
"We want to set people up to succeed. He had a fair absence.
"(Hunter) Clark said his body is good. He'll play at VFL."
As the Saints chip away toward a full bill of health, Lyon has more players at his disposal to select, including forward-ruck Jack Hayes and veteran Tom Campbell, who both impressed last weekend.
Hayes - who's had multiple bouts of season-ending injuries since joining the club - slotted three goals from his 18 disposals whilst also assisting in the ruck duties.
Campbell was the dominant big man, recording 52 hit-outs, 16 touches and four marks.
Either Hayes or Campbell could be brought in to support solo ruck Rowan Marshall, who was limited at Thursday's session and exited the track early due to illness, per 7 News' Mitch Cleary.
"It's an interesting one," Lyon declared of his ruck situation.
"Rowan is clearly our number one ruckman and a lot of teams go with a number one ruck and a mobile ruck.
"And he's very consistent and painted that role (on what it looks like).
"He's (Campbell) is pretty comfortable knowing we'll call on him if needed, rather than us needing to play two rucks.
"But we know he can play good footy and he's a great club man."
Lyon will be forced into at least one change, as small forward Jack Higgins will begin serving a three-match suspension for his dangerous tackle on Port Adelaide's Aliir Aliir.
