West Coast are considering making a play for former Carlton and GWS forward Jarrod Pickett, according to afl.com.au's Mitch Cleary.
It is believed that the Eagles could throw the 23-year old a lifeline after meeting him earlier in November.
Pickett wasn't part of the 800-plus nominees for this week's drafts but could join West Coast from December 3 via the pre-season supplemental selection period (SSP).
He has been training on an individual program as he rehabs a knee injury with plans to join in the Eagles' pre-season training after the drafts.
Pickett was was traded from GWS to Carlton at the end of 2016 without a senior game.
He played 17 games for Carlton during his three-year stint at the club but was delisted in June after suffering a serious knee injury in the pre-season.
