West Coast is sweating on the fitness of ruckman Nathan Vardy and midfielder Liam Duggan ahead of its trip to Adelaide to face the Power on Saturday.
Vardy hyper-extended his elbow in the Eagles' derby win over the Dockers last week, while Duggan suffered a knock to his right thigh.
Both will undergo fitness tests before the match, meaning the Eagles will take two emergencies on the trip to Adelaide.
“We will give Vardy every chance to play, but it’s more about can he handle the pain, Vardy, rather than the injury. Along with Duggan, we will take him over and test him late," coach Adam Simpson said on Thursday.
“Just with the travel we will give them to the last minute, some of these guys, and we will do that with both of those guys. We will take all three emergencies over. We will have a few tests tomorrow and see if they are available.”
Vardy has played all six games this season since crossing from Geelong at the end of last season while Duggan has played three matches and averaged 15.7 disposals.
