Vision of a street fight allegedly involving West Coast star forward Liam Ryan is circulating social media, with West Coast investigating the matter further.

The physical altercation took place in a public vicinity with several onlookers cheering on the bout.

The two men involved can be seen swinging wildly in the footage of the altercation.

The Eagles confirmed on Friday that the footage was being reviewed and that the club and the AFL were gathering more information on the incident.

"The West Coast Eagles are aware of an incident involving AFL player Liam Ryan in Fremantle on Wednesday evening," a club statement read.

"The Club has advised the AFL Integrity Unit.

"Liam and his partner Evana are safe, and Liam will continue with pre-season training on Friday morning.

"The Club is working to gather all the information, will support Liam throughout this process and will make no further comment at this time."

Ryan recently assisted in unveiling the Indigenous All-Stars guernsey for its one-off pre-season match against Fremantle on February 15th, in which Ryan is set to play.

The Eagles forward kicked 13 goals from 16 games last year.
