West Coast interim coach Jarrad Schofield will remain at the club in 2025 despite losing the senior role to Andrew McQualter.

Schofield filled the head coaching position following the departure of Adam Simpson mid-way through the season, steering the club through the final seven home and away games, producing two victories.

The former Eagles player went through the process alongside McQualter as the Perth club waded through many candidates.

AFL Media's Cal Twomey revealed that Schofield will remain at West Coast as a part of the club's coaching panel, having previously looked after the midfield group prior to his temporary promotion.

It comes as the Eagles confirmed that premiership coach John Worsfold will return following a 11-year absence as the Head of Football.

Worsfold coached the club from 2002 to 2013 before taking on a senior role at Essendon and also stepped away from the game.

Now he returns to assist first-time coach McQualter in his duties as well.
