West Coast youngster Reuben Ginbey has been charged by police after urinating in public at a music festival in WA on Saturday.
The Eagles confirmed the news via a club statement, which read:
"The West Coast Eagles advise that AFL player Reuben Ginbey has been charged after urinating in public at a music event on Saturday evening and failing to comply with WA Police directions by not giving his personal details.
"He will appear in court later this month.
"The Club has advised the AFL and, as the matter is now before the courts, will make no further comment at this time."
It is understood that Ginbey attended theย Wildlands Festivalย at Arena Joondalup on Saturday evening when the alleged offence took place.
Despite the incident, the Dunsborough product's pre-season hasn't been affected, returning to the club on Monday for training, according toย PerthNow.
The 20-year-old has become a regular feature in the West Coast senior side after being taken with Pick 9 in the 2022 AFL Draft.
Ginbey has played 40 games predominantly across the half-back line but will look for more midfield opportunities as he continues his development.
